What happens during a Feng Shui Consultation?

What is a Feng Shui Consultation?

Your space is alive, and it’s always in conversation with you. A Feng Shui consultation helps you understand what it’s saying and how to invite in more harmony, abundance, and flow.
A Feng Shui consultation is a deep dive into how your home or workspace can better support your goals, energy, and evolution. I practice Black Sect Tantric Buddhist (BTB) Feng Shui—a modern and intuitive approach that blends ancient wisdom with practical application to create meaningful transformation in your space and your life.

What to Expect:

We’ll begin with a conversation about your space, your goals, and what you’re hoping to shift. If your consultation is in-person, we’ll walk through your home or workspace together. If it’s virtual, you’ll be in your space and we’ll move through it via video as needed.

Before we meet, I’ll spend several hours studying your floor plan, photos, and intake form to understand how qi (energy) flows through your environment. From there, I’ll create personalized recommendations—both physical and energetic—to help your space come into alignment with the life you’re calling in.

Think of this as therapy for your home, rather than interior design.
While we’ll touch on aesthetics and organization, the true work is energetic—creating resonance between your inner world and your outer environment.

What do I need to provide for the consult?
Please read this section before booking so you can plan ahead.
Within 72 hours of booking, I’ll send you an intake form to complete.
Both your intake form and floor plan must be submitted at least 9 days before your consultation, so I have enough time to thoughtfully review your space and prepare your recommendations.

Here's what I need from you:

ONE: Intake Form
Your intake form is a chance to reflect and clarify what you’d like to shift. It helps me get to know you, your space, and your goals before our session.
What It Includes:
-
Questions about your space, yourself, and your aspirations
-
Space for photo and video uploads of your space
-
Upload field for your floor plan
Estimated time to complete: 15–30 minutes (plus time to prepare your photos, videos, and floorplan)
A Helpful Tip:
Set aside quiet, focused time to complete your intake form. Think of it as your first Feng Shui ritual — a moment to tune in to what’s working, what’s not, and what you truly want to call in. The more intentional you are, the more powerful and personalized your consultation will be.
TWO: Floorplan
Your floor plan is essential for a complete Feng Shui analysis. Please provide a digital copy for each floor of your home or workspace. This will be attached to your Intake Form.
What to Include:
-
All spaces under your roof (including garages and storage areas)
-
Attached decks/balconies/outdoor living areas
-
Clearly marked front door
-
All walls, doors (showing swing direction), and windows
-
Stairs, toilets, sinks, and shower/baths
-
Key furniture: beds, desks, and stove
-
Optional but helpful: other furniture placement
-
Your signature (this connects your energy to the plan)
Acceptable Formats:
-
Builder's plans (ideal if you have them)
-
Hand-drawn plans (scanned)
-
Digital plans created using online tools
Don’t worry if you don't have a builder's plan - I’m not expecting blueprints worthy of an architect. A thoughtful hand-drawn plan is more than enough. It doesn’t have to be perfect — just accurate enough for me to understand the flow of your space. Do your best with the tools you have. After booking, I will also share some tips on how to draw a floorplan.

THREE: The 9 Red Envelope Exchange Tradition
In the Black Sect Tantric Buddhist (BTB) Feng Shui tradition, the Red Envelope Exchange is a sacred ritual that honors the wisdom being shared and protects both teacher and client. It symbolizes the respectful flow of energy between us—what we give, what we receive, and what we transform together.

As part of our exchange, you are invited to prepare 9 red envelopes, each containing at least $1 in cash, before our consultation begins. This is separate from your consultation fee. The money within these envelopes will be donated to charitable causes after the session, extending the good qi we generate together.
After our consultation, I perform a blessing ritual with the envelopes to seal and honor our work.

While the red envelopes are not required, they are deeply meaningful. In the BTB lineage, they allow me to share transcendental adjustments—advanced energetic techniques that work beyond the physical level. These are powerful, sacred methods and are only shared when the red envelope exchange has taken place. (Not every consultation will include them, especially during our first session.)

How to Prepare Red Envelopes:

-
You may use any type of red envelope—traditional or handmade.
-
Before our consultation, place at least $1 in each of the 9 envelopes.
-
If we meet in person, please bring them to your session for the exchange.
-
If we meet virtually, you have two options:
-
Mail them to me in advance (address provided after booking)
-
Prepare your 9 envelopes and keep them with you during our session for a virtual red envelope exchange. We’ll honor the tradition together with a brief blessing, and afterward, you may donate the total amount from your envelopes to a charitable cause or person in need. This allows the energy of generosity and respect to continue flowing outward.
-

When preparing your envelopes, take a quiet moment to reflect on your intention for the consultation. As you place the cash in each one, imagine your home already feeling clear, balanced, and aligned with what you desire.

After booking, I’ll also send you a PDF guide with these instructions and preparation tips.
